This past Friday, one of Salman Khan’s best movies released. Now, as we all know, there are some people who absolutely love Salman’s movies, and some who don’t care. But for the movie Kick, I would say, it doesn’t matter if you like Salman or not, the movie was good enough to withstand itself. It is very hard to find a movie that could be great self-standing, as most movies need a high class actor, but this movie was definitely not like that. We all know that Salman Khan is a superstar, and there is no one else who could be like him. In all of his movies there will be an aspect that clicks with the audience. If the movie isn’t a hit, then the songs will be. And if not the songs, then people will relate to his character, or his character’s personality. I felt in this movie all of the above aspects were good!
Kick starred Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez as the main hero and heroine. Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Randeep Hooda had significantly large roles. Mithun Chakraborty and Archna Puran Singh played Salman’s parents.
The movie made you laugh in the start, had some drama and action in the middle, and the very end was very light when he ended the movie with the dialogue, “Mere baare main itna maat sochna. Dil main aata hoon, samaj main nahin.” This dialogue means “don’t think so much about me, I come from the heart, not from the mind”. The end definitely left a good impression on you.
There was humor in the movie. One of the funny scenes was when Salman was driving some sort of rickshaw, and a man saw him, thinking he was Chulbul Pandey, Salman’s most famous character from the movie Dabbang. There were some quirks here and there that make you laugh, but then came the intense Salman Khan sequences, that he is famously known for. There was enough action, it definitely did not fall short, and the action was a good enough amount so that it didn’t look overdone. The storyline was great and very well portrayed!
The music of the film was by T-series. I personally loved the music of the film! Jumme ki Raat, the movie’s main song, is a very entertaining song to dance to. Yaar na Milay has great music and I loved it! The main melodious song of the movie is Hangover. Although it doesn’t sound like a slow song, it is, and a good one at that. Salman’s voice touches your heart and matches the song perfectly. Shreya Goshal has sung beautifully as well.
Overall, I would say this film was a win win for Salman Khan and for the audience watching it!
